The Juice Shed

Apple and Pear Juice

In the late 90s Charlie and Jane had an idea. The English apple and pear market had collapsed and fruit was worth very little per lb. They decided to make apple juice; first sending it across the river to Pershore to be pressed and then making on site. A pack press was purchased in 2001 along with the pasteurisation and bottling equipment. We started with single variety juices to get the basics right then worked our way up to making blended juice. In 2010 we swapped our pack press for a triple roller belt press and our bath pasteurisers for a flash pasteuriser.

What makes our juice unique?

We hand pick all our apples and pears which are carefully pressed using the right speed and tension depending on the fruit. We add ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) to help the juice hold its colour. Our products are 100% juice, no added water, chemicals or sugar like most commercial apple juices.

Our Juice is available on site at our farm shop, in Regional Waitrose stores and online at Ocado, as well as many other Farm Shops in the area.

Cider & Perry

The Clives have been making cider on site since they started growing fruit trees. In the old days Mr Clive used to pay his labourers with cider (much to the disgust of the wives!). The cider made on site is mainly a bit of a hobby for us all but we are pleased with the results. Unlike most ciders, the vast majority of the fruit which goes into our cider is dessert or culinary fruit. Occasionally we buy local cider fruit to blend with our own but we aim to keep a traditional farmhouse feel to the whole process. We have a barrel of proper dry farmhouse cider in the shop which you can decant 2,4 or 8 pints from and take away in a bottle. We also do a small amount of fizzed cider and perry. Our perry pears come from a mile up the road from a beautiful age old orchard. To buy cider please call into the Farm shop.

Pressing your own Fruit.
OUR Contract Pressing service is open again from monday 24th August 2026.....

Did you know that 90% of home grown apples fall and go to waste, the best way to preserve your apples through the year is to press them.

Would you like your apples from your garden turned into your own lovely apple juice?

HOW IT WORKS

Firstly pick your ripe apples by hand. The best juice comes from perfectly ripe  apples, but watch out, different varieties will ripen at different times, throughout the season so make sure you sample a few different apples and pick only those that are perfectly ripe. If you wouldn’t eat it we wouldn’t recommend pressing it for juice. We need a minimum of 100-120kgs of apples to ensure your own pressing but a trailer load would be better !!

Please don’t bring any apples with rot, mould or mud.

Then simple, bring your apples in to us and we will press them, pasteurise the juice and then bottle into green 750mls glass bottles. They will then be packaged into  boxes of 12.

Price per bottle (2026)

750ml bottle of apple juice £2.20 (including VAT)

To make sure that you receive only your own pressing we need to make a minimum of 100 bottles for you and if necessary we will add a few of our own apples to ensure that you do, but we will need to add a small cost of 50p/kg for the additional fruit.

Once your juice is pressed and bottled, we will call you to let you know that your juice is ready to collect. We would really appreciate if you could collect as soon as possible, as you can imagine we get very busy, with many pallets in our storage areas at this time of year and it helps us enormously if we don’t have to keep moving the juice around. Your juice will last for at least 2 years, but once the bottle is opened keep in the refrigerator and drink within 1 week otherwise the juice will ferment. Please re-cycle the glass bottles in your usual way, we cannot re-use.

PLEASE RING AHEAD ON 01684 592664 (OPT 5) TO BOOK YOUR YOUR APPLES IN, LEAVE A MESSAGE IF NO ONE IS AVAILABLE, AND WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU, OR ALTERNATIVELY Email juice@clivesfruitfarm.co.uk

THE JUICING STAFF ARE NOT ALWAYS AROUND AT THE WEEKEND, AND THE FARMSHOP IS BUSY SO NO DROP OFF OR PICK UPS SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, PLEASE.

If you need any further advice please do not hesitate to email or call us, we would be happy to advise.
